Decorative filaments

This category is for prints meant to be looked at rather than loaded: figurines, vases, organisers, gifts, decorative pieces. All of these materials are PLA variants, so they print easily, on an open printer and without warping. They differ only in their finish.

Silk PLA gives a silky sheen and the highest colour saturation class in the manufacturer's table, alongside PLA Premium (nozzle 230–260 °C and 210–240 °C respectively). PLA Premium has a special texture, and its granite variant needs a 0.6 mm nozzle. PLA Stone and PLA Army are matt stone and camo finishes, 210–240 °C. PLA Wood has a wood texture, but it needs a 0.6 mm nozzle, is moderately abrasive to the nozzle and has only medium layer bonding. Rainbow PLA and Rainbow Silk PLA shift colour along the spool.

The trade-off is shared: the variants covered in the manufacturer's official table have a declared temperature resistance of 60 °C. These are materials for indoor use and for the shelf, not for technical enclosures. Print filled filaments more slowly and with a larger nozzle.
